Hi, my name is Thomas. Good to have you here.
I’m an Austrian 🇦🇹 living in Germany 🇩🇪 after having lived in Ireland 🇮🇪 for 6 years and working in the data industry. My educational background is in mathematics, statistics and conflict management. On this blog, I write about topics I’m passionate about. At least for a start, my posts will revolve around 3 main themes:
- Data science and in particular the R programming language
- People management and leadership
- Mental health with a focus on mindfulness
Also good to mention: I’m a big fan of the R programming language. Therefore, this site is built with the R package blogdown).
See my CV to learn more about my professional background. Note: The CV was created with R as well 😄
Gap the Mind Blog
This blog is, well, about "gaps" and "minds". We wanna mind the gaps, even though things often get mixed up. The gaps I'm writing in this blog are for example
- gaps between the source data and our conclusions,
- gaps between our values and how we act
- or gaps between what we think is making us happy and what might actually make us happy.
On all of that I put a focus on a growth mindset approach, embracing the path and enyoing life along the way.
